Sorry for being down a couple of days. Someone went into the cpanel in the server and screwed around with some settings to mess up the website. I'm having the host change the settings to prevent future problems.

TOTM was hacked?!
Itís difficult to imagine a life so empty and meaningless.

Update on the work done to this forum.

As stated before, we are now running the latest SMF software release.

The Emoticons, the ability to upload pictures in posts and to have an avatar by your username have been restored.

YouTube and Vimeo BBC buttons have been added. Just drop the YT link between [youtube]video link goes here[/youtube} and the same for Vimeo videos [vimeo]video link goes here[/vimeo}

The spell checker hasn't been restored yet, as this is something the host needs to take care of.

This forum was just upgraded to the latest SMF release. The version I was running was several years old.

The glitches that appeared after the host moved servers still persist and I'm trying to get them fixed.

I din't know there were apps for Tinypic.com. I always use the desktop version. I would suggest trying the mobile app first since you're using a mobile device.

Hi TE, there are some bugs that developed when this site was moved to another server, and the photo uploader was one of the features that stopped working.

Until I get the bugs fixed, I recommend using the free  service tinypic.com to upload the pictures to their servers and then post them here. It's a very simple process, you simply upload the pic you want to post and tinypic.com will generate all the necessary codes. The code to use here will look like this [IMG]yourpicxxxx[/IMG.]  Copy the code and paste in TOTM. I recommend setting up an account so you don't have to deal with Captcha spam blocker every time you want to use the site.

I have a question. I was unable to load pics in a post I was trying to do under Our Pets.  Is there a different way to add pics than through the attachments?  I just got back on here today using the original TOTM bookmark I had on my phone.

You guys are a great bunch, you understand that on occasions we'll have some hiccups and you put up with them. Actually, I hear from people that aren't forum users via email when the webcams go offline. A lot of peeps rely on those webcams for road and weather conditions.

Thanks to all for your patience. Our server host changed servers and wasn't overly familiar with the new server settings and that kept us from connecting to the new server.

As you probably noticed, certain features aren't working, such as the emoticons, spell checker and the the avatars in the member profiles aren't showing. This kind of problems have happened in the past when the site is moved to other servers.

Although Lloyd, the owner of BoxISP, isn't familiar with this platform, he has graciously taken time from his busy schedule to try to fix the glitches when time permits since I can't do it myself. As I said before, we are going to try to upgrade to the latest software release, and doing so may bring more glitches. This may be done when Lloyd has the time to squeeze me in so it may be a while.

OMG, you mean we actually have to learn how to SPELL all by ourselves and try to communicate without little cartoon characters? Use WORDS??? That's barbaric!!

Gem, you're here and accessible most of the time. Do we really seem like that picky a bunch of posters?
